We transformed the 2017 KIA Forte into an art game controller with Imaginary Media, featuring visuals by Gazoo to the Moon
Drive To The Moon was an interactive audio-visual experience curated by Wallplay with technology developed by Imaginary Media, made possible by KIA Forte. This immersive, audio-art gamification experience utlizied the KIA Forte as an interactive visual controller, featuring a special performance by Chase B and a DJ set by Coco & Breezy. KIA and Complex invited the audience to control their experience by taking the driver’s seat of the new KIA Forte and exploring a future-forward landscape inspired by Gazoo To The Moon’s linear and angular geometric tape art world.
Guests entered the KIA Forte vehicle to play with special hacked art features inside the car, which directly triggered the video projections surrounding the outside of the vehicle. With audio-responsive visual content, the game reacted to the live performances happening inside the venue during the event. The interactive features inside the KIA Forte included steering wheel control which altered the direction the passenger takes inside of the audio-art experience. The brake and gas pedals sped and slowed down the pace at which the driver moved through the projection-mapped experience and the windshield wiper button controlled the weather.
